• Identify two organiz ations that you think represent different types
of social economy organizations;
• Indicate what makes them part of the social economy. This
supposes that you have a working definition of the social economy
(which you should make explicit);
• Indicate what features distinguish these two organizations from
one another as different types of social economy organizations
(you should be able to assign names to them);
• Interview someone (a member or employee) who works in one of
the organizations to determine:
o Whether this person understands the organization to be part
of the social economy
o what the interviewee understands to be advantages/benefits
of w orking in the organization and/or what benefits the
organization provides for its members/clientele;
o what the challenges are of working in such an organization;
• Analyse the responses of the interviewee (regarding the benefits
and challenges) to see whethe r and how they correspond to the
specific (social economy) features that characterize the
organization (or whether they might pertain to any organization);
• indicate why/why not you might like to work in/be a member of
such an organization.
